Ask jd is the Peeperz sex advice column where world famous adult star and sex educator jessica drake answers your questions about sex, dating, the world of adult entertainment, and more!

Hey there jessica, I want to know how do you get ready for a scene? Do you have a process?

–Derrick

Derrick, great question! I could compare on-camera sex to first date sex: you bathe, shave, brush your teeth, all of the regular personal hygiene things. You want everything to be clean and fresh, so we do those things at home and then come to set and get into hair and makeup. That usually takes a few hours, and then we take what are called “pretty girl” pictures, which go on the box of the DVD. After all that, it’s time to start filming!

So now we’re into the beginning of the scene. I choose my scene partners based on chemistry because I don’t like faking it. I focus on a few things that i find really sexy about my co-star, and pretty much let nature take it’s course…and that’s an awesome feeling, when it’s so good I forget about the cameras!

xo,

j

Hi Jessica, I want to know if you ever talked about doing a all fan movie or video.

    Dear JD,
What would you suggest as a good first step for a photographer to get their foot in the door for doing still photography with both adult and “main stream” stars?
