Courtney Trouble was born in Washington State, as a teen she was swept up in the grunge and riot grrl movements which had a major influence on her. Her first girl-crush came at a very early age and Janet Jackson was the object of Mis Troubles desire. Courtney knew at an early age that she was turned on by girls and by numerous other things that weren’t deemed “normal” by those nitwits who seem intent on telling us what normally actually is. This realization of “difference” has come to define who Courtney Trouble is as well as her work.
Courtney attended Ever Green State College in Olympia, WA and got a degree in Liberal Arts. It was at Ever Green that Courtney’s love for photography blossomed and she was known for her print work with digital photography. She also had her first job in the adult industry at this time working as a phone sex operator. She also started her first adult website entitled NoFauxxx which has just celebrated 10 years and is an extremely popular website.
She had no idea at the time that NoFauxxx would become a spearhead for the Queer Porn movement and would spwan numerous other websites that Courtney oversees as well as a host of imitators. Ok Ok so what the hell is Queen Porn for those of us who aren’t hipsters or don’t know where we can get a soy latte made with sustainable ingredients? Well as you might expect, the definition of Queer porn is as diverse as the genre itself. Lets just say this, Queer Porn is often “reality” based, meaning its REAL sex not fake porn sex. Add into the mix performers with varied sexual preferences and gender identities, toss in some sex acts sometimes considered out of the “norm” by mainstream standards and you have a rough idea of what the Queer Porn movement is about.
First and foremost however its porn made by diverse people for diverse people. Given this you can see why the movement has become so massive. To put it simply the world is filled with folks who don’t fit a mold, aren’t branded from a cookie cutter and they don’t fit nicely onto a bumper sticker. For that reason the Queer Porn movement has became a major force in the industry. On the coat-tails, or some would say the forefront of the Queer Porn movement is also the insane idea (tongue in cheek) that feminism and porn can coexist and that they are not mutually exclusive. Anything that liberates people, especially women from social bondage is good by us here.
