Morality in Media (MiM) is an American, non-profit organization made up of a bunch of no-fun having killjoys. Their only real purpose is to tell people how to live their lives because they assume you are all too stupid too masturbate regularly while being functional members of society. While they are against obscenities in general, the real focus of their ire is the pornography industry which they think is destroying American culture.
The latest bee in their bonnet comes courtesy of Groupon for offering discount tours of the San Francisco Armory through Kink.com. MiM was so offended at the offer to tour a “torture porn studio” that they called for a boycott of the deal-of-the-day website. Groupon took a tally of how many fucks were given and decided to ignore the situation.
For those of you not aware, Kink tours of The San Francisco Amory are the very definition of obscene, but it’s not like they hide it. The whole idea is to offer a chance for people to explore their sexuality and see some crazy BDSM shit. If this isn’t your bag, then c’est la vie. What we don’t need is a bunch of offended people trying to complain awesome stuff out of existence because they were raised to be intolerant of things that give me a boner. That being said, we don’t have a lot to worry about here.
Unlike organizations that actually try to help people, MiM is only out there to push their beliefs onto people who don’t care. They don’t have any real political power and as Rick Santorum found out, the only thing Americans love more than guns, trans fats and SUVs is pornography.
The fact of the matter is, outside of their own newsletters, the only people actually talking about this are the deviant fucks from websites like Peeperz – the very sites MiM wants to eradicate. So let’s show them how good of a job they are doing by heading over to Groupon and buying some gift certificates, or to Kink and getting our freak on.
Awwwww yeaaaaaa. In yo face, MiM.
