It seems like you have two very different, however related questions here, so I’ll take them one at a time. First, my opinion is that I applaud anyone who is able to identify and explore things that intrigue them sexually, so long as it’s all safe and consensual. So, good for you! In terms of nature and health, I think those are pretty much non-issues here, I’m not a social anthropologist, so I can’t get into the specific reasonings why people find themselves attracted to transwomen, but I can definitely see why trying something new and different with a potential perceived “social taboo” would be a turn-on. It’s a fairly common attraction, so don’t dwell on it. Enjoy it!
Important note: Unless you are with someone who specifically has stated that they enjoy the term shemale, don’t use it. It’s often seen as a hurtful and short-sighted term. Of course, like all words, some people have chosen to reclaim it and identify as such, but better to be safe and ask what terms, if any, they prefer. I say “if any” because transwomen are women and should be treated as such.
