I never thought that we’d end up writing so much about Kate Middleton, Prince William, and the royal wedding, I also never thought we’d write about the World Testicle & Aphrodisiac Cooking Championship, but that’s because I never knew such a competition existed…but it does!!!! And guess what! This year the championship is in honor of the royal newlyweds and the winning animal ball dish will be dedicated to Princess Kate and Prince Willy, of course they’ve been invited to the cook off but have yet to RSVP back.
Somehow the World Testicle & Aphrodisiac Cooking Championship has been running for years, every summer, in the country of Serbia. Chefs come from around the world to prepare dishes containing the nut sacks of different species. Apparently this year will include such delicacies as kangaroo, bull, boar, camel, and ostrich testicles.
Chef Ljubomir Erovic is the founder of the test’ fest and is a great fan of eating balls, he claims they’re high in nutrients and good for your sex life, and they’re the only form of meat you can eat where the animal isn’t killed to prepare them! He’s even published a cook book, Cooking With Balls, with recipes for yumyums like testicle pizza.
Some of you may have had the US rural delicacy Rocky Mountain oysters (also known as Prairie oysters) which are battered and fried bull testes, I’ve had them and they were surprising good – I mean after I threw up a few times and then tried to eat them again, they were surprisingly good.
