Vanessa Del Rio was born in Harlem, NY on March 31st, 1959. She once summed up her life this way, ” I left home at 16 years old, became a key punch operator, a computer programer, a bar maid, a waitress, to go-go dancing, street walker, a call girl then a pornstar.” This hardly tells the story of such an iconic figure in adult film. The Huffington Post called her the black Marilyn Monro of adult films. A praise-worthy comparison don’t you think? This might be an accurate comparison from a cultural standpoint but Vanessa is as diverse as her racial mix of Cuban, Puerto Rican, and African American.
Vanessa Del Rio starred in her first adult role in the title Reunion in 1975 and has now appeared in over 120 films. Now that may seem like a lot of films but by today’s standard that isn’t very many at all. By comparison the booty-licious Kelly Divine has been in twice as many film in just half the time. Despite the relatively small amount of roles Miss Vanessa has appeared in, her films have gone on to be some of the most enduring classics of all time earning her a spot in the AVN Hall of Fame as well as the XRCO Hall of Fame. Vanessa also has the well earned reputation for being one of the top ten oral performers of all time. Her skills in this department along with her vocal and totally compelling passion onscreen has made her one of the most adored adult film actresses in history and much deservedly so.
Vanessa has had a book written about her that is a sort of bible of Vanessa Del Rio complete with amazing packaging, a DVD and oodles of dirty pictures. Vanessa Del Rio 50 Years of Slutty Behavior (By Dian Hanson) spans the entire history of her life and is truly a collectors items and a must have for all fans of Vanessa Del Rio. Vanessa is still very active to this day. She preforms webcams hows, attends to her very popular website and occasionally makes public appearances in which she is always greeted fondly.
