Being a swinger doesn’t sound like the easiest lifestyle. At first glance it seems pretty straight forward, all you have to do is find another couple in an open relationship that you and your partner are both attracted to and proposition them to see if the feeling is mutual. However, like most things in life it all becomes more complicated when you get down to the logistics.

Though the world is slowly coming around to accepting alternative lifestyles and sexualities, for some reason swingers still carry a negative image in the public eye. Couples looking to find other lovers may find difficulty approaching someone in a traditional setting, hindering the thrill of engaging in spontaneous sex. While the internet is always an option, most swingers seem to prefer specialized clubs that cater to their lifestyle- assuming local laws allow them to stay open long enough.

Prior to a recent policy change the Purple Mamba, a local swingers club in the English town of West Bridgford, was only allowed to operate on Friday through Sunday. While weekends may work for single club goers, married couples with families found it extremely difficult to find babysitters.

After complaining to the local council about being unable to attend the swingers club due to their responsible parenting, the club was allowed to operate every night of the week. Huzzah!

Allowing the Purple Mamba to open on weeknights grants local swingers with families the opportunity to make arrangements and attend the festivities. This is a huge win for West Bridgford’s swinging community, which could potentially make the lifestyle more accepted by the general public.

Maybe even other business will see the value in catering to people in open relationships.

A while back we read about a cannabis club in Colorado that decided to host a sex party for its members. The Speakeasy Vape Lounge and Cannabis Club decided to stage their first ever erotic event after reefer enthusiasts requested that the owners give their swinging members an opportunity to merge their two interests. The combination of weed and casual sex turned out to be a hit leading the club’s owners to promise more sex parties in the future.

Given marijuana is still largely illegal in England, it may be a while before the people of West Bridgford see a party such at this. For now they can at least enjoy a nice Wednesday night out without the burden of parenthood getting in their way.
